5 Most tv's have two accessory slots to plug your DVD into the back of your television. They are marked 1 or 2.. You must set your DVD to the same slot number to see channels from the television. It is wanting you to tell it which slot you used. Also, when watching a DVD, if you have an older television set, you will have to set your tv to channel 4 to see the movie. This would be the case if you don't have the ability to select either av1 or av2. Find where the cable is attached to the back of the tv, if you don't find the two slots, try putting your movie in and selecting ch4 on the DVD player and tv
