I've been searching for a solution to this problem for some time now with no luck. Whenever I connect my PS3, Xbox 360, or even computer to my tv everything works fine, except for the 1080p setting (1920x1080). As soon as I switch to that resolution the image becomes slightly blurred and colors appear "washed out". This ONLY happens when i use hdmi @ 1080p. vga works beautifully regardless of what resolution i use. I've tried calibrating and re-calibrating the tv using the Avia home theatre utility. I've tried different hdmi cables of different lengths (I've heard shorts cables are preferable due to signal loss, so I have a 4ft cable),I've tried fiddling with all the superfluous extra video settings on both the tv and the source, and NOTHING works. I would simply use vga for everything, except the tv only has 1 vga input. It's a problem particularly with my ps3 because it only has component, composite, and hdmi out. (I don't want to use composite because it's just not the same, you know?) I can't understand why a tv with a native resolution of 1080p and 4 hdmi ports can't process 1080p hdmi signal properly... It's MADDENING!!! Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. (before I end up in a straight jacket). Thanks!
