Hello. My TV cuts OFF and and then ON every couple minutes ONLY while I'm changing channels via my cable box (Time Warner digital cable). It's does not happen when I leave one channel on, or watch a DVD, etc. I changed my cable box, and the problem is still there. Could it be a bad HDMI cable causing a safety feature (auto turn off, etc) to turn off and on the tv? Please help. -Tony

3 I just called shaw and got the solution and it seems to have worked so far. Turn the cable box off but leave the tv on. press settings button and a white menu will come up on the screen. The second line down will say output of some sort. by using the left and right keys change the value to 1080i. then on the next line change the value to stretch. Then press power and the box will turn off, press power again and it will turn on and you have the problem solved.

0 I have the 47LG70 and a Comcast HD box. My TV turns off and back on (takes about 10-15 seconds) every time I hit the Last button to return to an HD channel from a non-HD channel.

0 There's a setting on the cable box (go through the menu) to keep the HD resolution at the highest level (not auto). That fixed the problem.
