5 Mike, I have been struggling to program a universal remote with my Maganavox MWD200G DVD player for HOURS! This is the only information that actually helped me because I was programming using the Magnavox code (instead of the Funai codes). I was about to give up - you really saved me from even more frustration.

The Magnavox MWD200GA DVD player is actually manufactured by Funai Corporation of China, who acquired marketing rights to the brand names Magnavox, Emerson, Sylvania, Durabrand, Muokai, Ero, Adventura and Symsphere. Of further importance, be aware of the fact the Magnavox MWR200GA and DP100MW8 are functionally identical units. The only significant different being the earlier model had a silver case, while the more recent model is black. Funai changed the unit's model number during 2007-2008, most likely due to unavailability or discontinuation of the microcontroller and support chipset the earlier model was based upon. You can order a replacement paperback original Owner's Manual by calling Funai Customer Service at (800) 605-8610. They also supply complete replacement parts and full-service repair should the need arise.
