DVD won't record Comcast Ch 37 FOX...

Comcast up graded signal 6 wks ago; now I can't record; I must now use their STB for Ch 27 & up; don't want to rent their DVR @ $15/mon; do I buy a new DVR for my 2007 Magv tv; plugged in every combination records snow; do I need to reprogram my DVD remote HELP
