I just installed my new DVR and I can not get the Closed Captioning to work. This is a very important veature for me as my wife is severly hearing impaired. I know it is not the DVD's because this feature works on my old DVR player. my setup is "ANtenna Cable Connection" on page 15 of the owner's manual. my older machine that works is a Panasonic DVD-S27. I have a Zenith hd tv that is ~5 years old. I have read most of the manual and can not seem to find instructions. like what are the different CC services? how do they translat to CC1-4 and Text 1-4 on my tv? Please help as this is a "must have" feature/function

0 The best way I know is to choose the options onscreen when loading the DVDs or VHS. Select Closed Captioning. Choose cc1 Ive never used anything other than cc1 for any regular movies or tv shows Pehaps when you choose this it will stay on when you watch regular tv. If you have Cable, It wil have to be formatted through your cable box or through your dish receiver. At least mine does. I have to format mine through my cable box for regular TV viewing. Hope this helps. Joe
