The vcr function on both ct202mw8 units we own do the same thing. When a VHS tape is inserted, whether the tab is there or not, record does not function. A commercial tape does the same thing. After a few seconds, the unit ejects the tape and turns itself off. Is there a setting or switch we need to use to get it to allow normal VHS tape function? Thanks!
