Have had to turn on my set several times in a row for weeks now (tries to start but shuts off within a few seconds), finally it wont come on at all. I have seen older posts regarding the R3340, but not sure that applies. There are obviously many others with this problem, i am hoping it is an easy fix as in an under-wattage component. Paid 1200 23 months ago (out of warranty) and am in no mood to pay 300 to have someone put in a $2 part.

0 i found similar complaints elsewhere, and a possible fix. Apparently the 2074 Capacitor can be replaced with a 2200Uf 35 volt (increasing from the 2074 25 volt)... seems like an easy fix with the part costing $1 at Radioshack and some light soldering... wish me luck!
