Question About Magnavox Flat Panel Television None
troubleshoot...

TV wont come on. when i press the power switch i hear it click on and the green power light comes on after a few secounds the green light turns to flashing red and the tv has no display, picture or function

4 I had this same problem on mine. Previous poster is correct that it is a problem with two capacitors on the main board. I replaced these on my tv and the problem is solved. If anyone still has one of these televisions that is not working I can either fix it or might be willing to buy the tv. You would not need to ship me the entire tv but would need the ability to take the back panel off and remove the main board. If you ship me the main board I can repair it and send back. my email is srk14105@hotmail.com

0 I have come across this issue on multiple threads and forums and it turns out that the issue is pretty well known. you can unplug the tv for about 10 seconds and plug it back in and it should work. there is a firmware upgrade on the magnavox site you can download that might correct the problem but, more often than not it does not work. the cause is a capacitor on the power supply. after you plug your tv back in you will here 2 clicks. after 5-10 seconds you might here 2 more faint clicks and if you here the second set of clicks your set will not turn on. just keep plugging it in over and over until you do not here the second set of clicks.

0 I do not have sound on one channel all others are fine, it is not the tv station my other tv works fine magnavox model 42MF521D/37
