Flashes 31 times upon power up- does not work. I s...

Flashes 31 times upon power up- does not work. I swapped it out with a nother box same model. Powered up - Green LED flashed 13 times and worked fine for a week. Now it too flashes 31 times upon power up and I have nothing. Is there a reset type situation with the remote that may clear this up ?
