I have a Magnavox TV/DVD/VDR Combo, Model #MWC24T5...

I have a Magnavox TV/DVD/VDR Combo, Model #MWC24T5b, Serial Number T31636640. When I insert a videotape, the entire unit shuts off without ejecting the videotape. How can this be repaired?
