Question About Memorex DVD Player MVDP1102
door open error message...

This divd player was purchased in July 07 and we can't get it to play at all. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can fix this problem.

5 I too experienced this same error when powering on the unit. The Memorex logo would display, followed by an error simply saying "open" indicating a problem with the CD cover. THE SOLUTION: There is an "AV" switch on the right (as you look at the screen) side of the unit. Set it to the "out" option. Problem goes away. Basically the unit is looking to display the video from an external source. I tried this, and it worked for me. I hope this helps.

5 the suggestion on changing the av switch to the out position solved all of the problems i thank you for the input it saved me a lot of frustration thank you thankyou
