bought this tv about 2 years ago and my Optical engine has failed. Lucky for me Mitsubishi had giving me a free extended warranty on the engine, which they are going to replace for free. I'm wondering if they have redesigned the optical engine or are they just replacing it with one just like the one I have, and in two years it's going to go out again? I've decided to go ahead and replace my lamp while we have the tv pulled out. The sevice company sold it to me at cost for $109.00 which I think that was a good deal , and I'll just use my old one for a spare. Does this tv have any filters that should be cleaned or replaced while we have the tv apart, and is there anything else I could service or clean ? I'm hoping to get the tv back to new condition while we're back there. Thanks I forgot to ask if there is any updates for this tv yet?
