How To Switch Input to L1 or L2

for Mitsubishi Electronics VCR HS-U795

I just got the Mitsubishi HS-U795 second-hand at a charity store. No remote came with it, so I'm using a universal remote. Trying to record from DVD Player to videotape. Need to switch VCR input from to L1 or L2, so I can and record see the video coming from the DVD to the VCR. Can't find any buttons on the console or any items on the menu, to make this input switch.
