I can't get my HTR-1remote to connect to my Samsun...

I can't get my HTR-1remote to connect to my Samsung TV. I have tried entering a manufacturer code and just searching and neither one seem to work. Do you have any suggestions?

0 I have the Manual and have followed the directions several times. It doesn't seem to connect to any device I have. Nothing is blocking the sensor, I just wondered if you had any other tricks I could try.
