5 I bought this blu ray player at Target in December '08 for $150...great deal, and for the most part it looks terrific...BUT we had a problem playing "Horton Hears a Who"...which made me go looking for answers to the prompt it gave us to "update" the blu ray player. I found the following comment from another forum helpful: You will need to run the firmware update on this blu ray player. It can be found at the following link: http://olevia.supportsync.com/default.aspx Once you download it, you’ll need to burn it to a disc (I used ‘Toast Titanium’ to do this. Then power cycle the blue ray player, and go through the setup menu to do the firmware update. When it’s done, power cycle the unit and it plays like a million bucks! GREAT picture & sound!

0 you do not need to get new player. first download free trial of Nero software. YOu will need this to burn right kind of disc. Then download patch at this link http://olevia.supportsync.com/default.aspx follow instructions and all discs will play fantastic. Plus I would rather have a player where issues were addressed and I could fix it instead of getting new player.
