2 The short answer is that it depends on what A/V outputs your DVD player has and which A/V inputs your TV still has free. The easiest is the HDMI - both audio and video in one cable; the next best is Component - need two cables, Red/Green/Blue for video and Red/White(/Yellow) for audio (only use the Red/White); next would be S-video - requires 2 cables too, S-video for video & Red/White(/Yellow) for audio use only Red/White; last is the Composite - Red/White/Yellow with all three connected. The 232-s12 shares the S-video and Composite input so you have to pick one or the other but don't connect both types of sources to the TV at the same time. Cheers . . .
