NEED CODE FOR DVD PLAYER...

I CANT SET UP MY DVD PLAYER WITH THE REMOTE. I HAVE A PLUSTRON DVD PLAYER. I ALSO DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THE SEARCH METHOD DO YOU PRESS THE TV KEY OR THE DVD KEY TO SET IT UP?
