plugged dvd into tv after a few years of non use. ...

plugged dvd into tv after a few years of non use. Not sure of correct plug connections. It seems to work fine so far but is only in black and white. I think I plugged something in wrong, can you send me the correct plug configureation both for the dvd and the tv. Thanks, Julie
