Audio quits working for ALL connections if any HDM...

Audio quits working for ALL connections if any HDMI cable is plugged in, TV is turned off, and then turned back on. Will resume audio for all connections only if HDMI cables are unplugged, TV is turned off, HDMI cables are plagged back in, and THEN television is turned back on. No audio problems for all other connections if no HDMI connection is present.
