My Sylvania TV/VCR player repeatedly tries to play & eject when tape deck is empty. Anytime the TV is turned on it immediately goes through all the motions like a vhs tape was inserted. Then a couple of seconds later stops and tries to eject it and there's NO tape in the deck. I don't care if the VCR is functional - I just want to be able to watch the TV without the constant annoyance of the VCR noises. I pulled out the tape and it was destroyed. The vcr ate it and now my television won't even stay on!
