I own a Philco PVD 1000 DVD Player...

Pixellation in video image (appears like the "old" game of Tetriis - in rectangular blocks of color).

1 I recently got a DVR through Wave Broadband Cable. The set up man said that I should no longer use the DVD remote. In looking through the Owner's Manual, it doesn't seem to go into how to use the DVD in conjuction with a DVR. I need step-by-step instructions. Can you help?
