5 There is not a problem with the TV despite it's age this is can be due to your reception of the digital package for BBC. Have you checked through he full listings? sometimes the BBC channel will be at a different number setting because of the transmitter you are receiving. I assume you are using a digital box, you can enter a menu which will give you an indication of the strength & quality of the incoming signal. Do you pick up some of the other BBC channels such as BBC3 or CBBC? It's possible your aerial strength is a bit weak for the digital BBC package & you may need to have that looked at.
