My 46" Plasma screen shuts off after two and a hal...

My 46" Plasma screen shuts off after two and a half hours showing an error message of non use. Never happened before and going through the complete menu a half dozen times entering no shut off, still does. Also, HDMI system does not control Home Theater in spite of speakers off. Before installation by Shaw cable of new Motorola DVR all worked fine. What's happened?
