Question About Panasonic VCR 8450

I have a panasonic vcr recorder/player model 8450. It records and plays beautifully, however, just a few days ago channel 2 (KTVI) appears as L1 and L2 and won't record at all. How do I get rid of the L in front of the channel number on VCR It appears correctly on the TV and can be watched. Please help.
