how do i get a dvd to play in a Philips DVP3345VB ...

how do i get a dvd to play in a Philips DVP3345VB on a Polaroid FLM-323B? I entered the input on the Polaroid as Video 2 rear. All we get is a blue screen with "no signal" in the upper right-hand corner. What else do I need to do?
