0 Here is the link for the manual but there are no instructions on removing the base. I am having the same problem trying to figure out how to get the base turned up to mount.

0 The trick is IS that you do NOT remove the base. The mounting screw holes are on the BOTTOM of the stand. You must FORCE the stand back until it is parallel to the tv. This is tough to do but it will go back. Not the best engineering! My husband and I have ours mounted on the wall now!

0 just to let you know..the above photo is sideways - I took this looking up at the mounting (as it is mounted on the wall)

0 Lay the tv screen flat down on carpet, then put hand around front middle of base, hold tv frirm on floor, and pull base towards top/back of TV. It will move but has to be tight to stay in place when free standing. Hope this helps.
