when i turn on my 12 year old phillips52" projection tv it has no pix or sound untill it is turned off

0 If you get sound and video while the unit is shutting down, suspect the regulation circuitry. It may be a bad solder connection, it may be a faulty capacitor, it may be an open power resistor. It may even be a faulty PTC resistor. You would need the service manual not the owners manual. You need to check voltages when set is operating and compare those measured to those expected in design. Sams may have a Photofact folder on it.
