Brand-new set was working fine but a videotape got stuck in the machine and WILL NOT eject. Instructions in manual don't help. Anybody got any suggestions?

5 It's been a while since I've had to do this, but you may have to remove the cover and manually remove the tape. It will more than likely ruin your tape unless you're careful.. First, unplug it. Then you'll need to unscrew the cover from the bottom with a Phillips head screw driver. Pry around until it comes off. Then carefully grab hold of the cassette and lift it out. It's kind of tricky, but see if you can get it out without breaking the tape. You'll have to work it off of the heads. Once you get it out, just pop the cover back on and screw it back together. Before you put it all back together, try another tape. One you don't love and see if it works now. It should, but it's better to check it now than later. Let me know if you have any questions.
