I HAVE A PHILLIPS UNIVERSAL REMOTE #CL035A I HAVE IT WORKING AGAIN FOR THE VCR _SONY. BUT IT WON'T SHUT IT OFF/ON. WILL DO ALL THE OTHER STUFF I NEED ON IT. LIKE PROGRAM/ REC. BUT WON'T TURN ON OR SHUT OFF WITH THE REMOTE POWER BUTTON. I DON'T HAVE THE MANUAL. BUT USED THE SETUP KEY, VCR KEY, AND CHANNEL UP TO GET THAT FAR. ??
