CAN NOT WATCH WHAT I HAVE RECORDED...

I HAVE RECORDED MOVIES FROM THE HARD DRIVE, BUT CAN NOT WATCH THEM ON AN OTHER DVD PLAYER I HAVE READ THE MANUAL BUT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND DO I NEED TO CHANGE OR ADD A SETTING ON MY RECORDER PLEASE HELP THANK YOU
