Question About Pioneer DVD Recorder Pioneer DVR 231
Recording...

Recorder pretends to record for a count of 10 to 18, then stops. I could not get it to recognize or accept a disc until I purchased Sony DVD-R. I am kinda going backwards, but I had no trouble using this recorder until about a year ago. Could it need cleaning and do I have to take it to a technician for this? Thank anyone for your help.
