recieves power but will not come out of the standby mode. picture red light comes on when you hit the power button. the blue light will not come on. there is no picture

0 I know this is an old post, but it might be useful to someone with the same problem. Re:"Will not turn on" The problem is in the power supply board. There are two electrolytic capacitors valued at 1000uF 35v, that go bad. Check to see if the tops of the caps are bulged. Should be flat. This is a design flaw. Those caps should have been 50 volt. Unfortunately, you cannot fit a 50 volt cap on the board because they are too big. Just replace them with the same value and you should be good for a couple of years.
