I can replace the bad caps if I can get the back off the tv--appropriate screws have been removed, but it's stuck and I'd rather not break it.

0 After you ave the 3 screws out, start at a corner and pry the front and back apart. The back has a "loop" and the front has a "hook" that snap together. I was able to pull them apart, it does take some force. Once you are in there, the rest is a straight forward disassembly. I tried to chill all heat sinked areas hoping that t problem was heat related, but could not get the screen to turn back on, except if I turn it off and on, then it starts and stays on for about 20 sec. Let me know if you find the exact problem.
