My tv turns on with the blue screen and it says po...

My tv turns on with the blue screen and it says polaroid. Then goes to the video game or channel im watching, it stays on for anywhere from 1 minute to 5 minutes. Then the sound stays on but the screen is pitch black. Nothing is visible on the screen. If i turn it off and back on the screen will come on for a minute or two then go black again.
