What settings dose my tv need to be on to get prog...

What settings dose my tv need to be on to get program info? I had it but it won't display it now! And what dose NTSC CC. & ATSC CC. MEAN? And the settings for those cc1,2ex ,text1 & cs1-6 mean as well
