I'm having problems using timer recording on this product; I set my TV, a JVC on video 1 and this works for vhs tape recording and for TV viewing, but I get " no signal input" when trying to use timer recording onto dvd; do I need a different setting, eg video 2 for dvd? How do I resolve this? Also, what does it mean to finalize a dvd disc; do I need to finalize it to view it or does that erase it? Thanks for your help.
