I set my input to "TV" because that's what I normally want to see. But when I power off the set and later power it back on, it sure comes back showing TV alright but only for four lousy seconds; and then it inexplicably switches to DVD input, even though there is NO DISC in the slot! I have to manually go through the painstaking rigamarole of getting the Input set back to TV. I just got this machine today. I'm using it with a cable box that gives everything over channel 3. The RCA set finds only this channel 3 when it scanned, as expected. It calls it A3 surprisingly, but I think it would be a digital channel since the cable box and setup are modern. Go figure. But that's just small talk. I'm really disappointed and concerned that my input switches to DVD 4 or 5 seconds after EVERY power-on! What can I do??

0 The reviews for this TV are generally good, and they are numerous, so I can't explain why I am experiencing this anomaly except by accepting that my unit is somehow defective and senses the presence of a DVD disc at power-up when actually there is none in the slot. Rather than expend considerable energies pursuing warranty service I think I'll just go ahead and return the unit for a full refund to Wal-mart, where it came from. Thanks, forum!
