Question About Samsung Blu-ray Player BD-C5500

I bought a BD-C5500 Blu-ray player over 3 years ago and I managed to programme the remote to operate my Philips TV. However, the remote is now no longer functioning and so I bought a replacement through Amazon. While all the other functions work, it will not talk to the TV. I have tried the codes 06,55,56 and 57 as per the manual but to no avail. The remote was shipped out of China. Please help.
