Question About Samsung DVD VCR Combo DVD-VR375

Can you plase give a better explanation for connection the DVD-VR375 to my HD Sony TV that is connected to a Scientific Alanta 8300HD cable box. I am sure I've made the connection as shown on page 19. Thank you from a frustrated new owner. DJ Bair
