Question About Samsung DVD VCR Combo None
dvd v9800 not playing tapes...

DVD operates fine from the hdmi cable. The tape player will fwd and rwd, but will not play. I do not have the yellow video out connected, I know I need it to see video from a tape, but shouldn't the machine at least play? Is it smart enough to sense there is no cable connected and will not engage the play mechanism???
