My TV has been working great and just today started turning itself off randomly. It comes on fine, good pic and sound, then without warning turns itself off. I can turn it back on but then it just shuts down again

0 There is an acess panel that has one screw. It is for access to the bulb in the back. After a time the switch moves with heat. What worked for me was taking that door off and putting it back on. There is a switch to kill power when you access the back. When the switch gets right on the edge hit will cause it to open ans close, seeming to be random. This fixed my Samsung DLP, problem has not come back.It was turning off dozens of times a day.

0 I have a Samsung DLP HL-R6168W. It's 3 1/2 years old. Same problem as above. I have checked the back and all it has is the large panel with all theinputs/outputs (many screws) and then a smaller panel (possibly a fan) with only 4 screws. I am not sure if this smaller panel is the right one to do the fix. It also has two circular panels on the rear of the screen. They have a small oval push mechanism (to release?). don't know what these lead to.

0 i have a an HLR5066 model and it randomly shut off. I have done timed tests, changed fan and held the little blue panel removal kill switch down while back is off. A) if you switch fans the fan has to be a 3 wire fan, 2 wires just gives a message on screen to check fan. i found that my TV shuts off after 6 minutes. i will update as i go on with my personal in home troubleshooting
