Question About Samsung TV DVD Combo None

Our tv turns off within 5 seconds of turning it on. The VCR sounds like it is trying to engage but it does not work. We get no picture from our dish network satellite. We would like to know how to disconnect the VCR all together and just use the tv. thanks. jdelucia5@verizon.net
