The hard file in my 8742HDC cablebox went bad. It was a 500Gig drive. I removed it and replaced it with a 2TB Western Digital SATA and turned it on. It immediately began to format the drive. That was 10 days ago and it is still formatting. Can you tell me how long it should take or if I should use another drive? Time Warner does not offer a drive bigger than 500G. Thank you for your help.
