what type of recordable dvd do I need?...

I have tried the RW+ and the RW- Which recordable DVD do I need to make this work to record old VHS tapes?

0 need to find disc that have the dvd logo as in the manuel. Maxwell carries it and

0 Need to use the correct disc. Maxell makes one, walmart carries it. It must have this logo on the dvd or it will not work. Many dvd's have the letters but it must be like this one in order for it to work. I have transfered all vhs to dvd with this recorder. Many tapes were turning purple. Better late then never
