I am trying to hook my TV up to FIOS TV from Veriz...

I am trying to hook my TV up to FIOS TV from Verizon. I cannot get the TV channel to change from 3.1 to 3.0. I have also tried to use the red/white/yellow cables, but when I do I only get black and white.
