My Sony RDR HDC300 doesn't work now. On the little display screen it has WELCOME and it doesn't change from that. There is no picture just a black screen. I also doesn't turn off now and the dvd tray wont open. Had to switch it off at the power point, i let it sit all night and then tried to turn it on this morning and same problem. What should i do? I have only had it for less than 6 months.

0 I had the same problem. I left the pvr for 2 days completely disconnected from all wires . After 2 days I connected all the wires back on the Sony pvr and pressed power button and stop button simultaneously untill picture came on tv. The picture disappeared after a minute and wellcome sign came back on Sony pvr. After that I used a sticky tape to press down both power and stop buttons simultaneously. Picture on the tv kept coming and disappearing every half minute for about 15-20 minutes. After that pvr started to reset itself and I just followed it on tv screen. I didn't loose any previously recorded program and pvr works perfectly.
