Question About Sony DVD Recorder None
Replacement drive...

I have a Sony RDR-GX300 and it looks like the internal dvd drive is dead. Are there any replacement drives for this? The part number for the drive is DW-U15A

0 My Sony DVD recorder not only doesn't record but appears to damage DVD-RW discs. I cannot subsequently format them on my PC. The drive is a DW-U15A and looks like a standard IDE drive. It might be worth buying a cheap IDE drive, swapping the bezels and trying it in the recorder.
