Question About Sony DVD VCR Combo RDR-VX525
Front panel display lights not on...

Unplugged & disconnected unit to move it, when reconnected, front panel display doesn't appear, only the lights for HDMI, SYNCHRO REC, and the arrows for DVD and VHS

0 Yes, I'm having the same issue. I had a power outage and now it will not power on. I had it hooked up to a surge protector, but I think it was more of a brown-out than a power surge. My line coming in from the power company when bad and I was only getting 40 volts (vs 120). So I don't know if that damaged the power supply or if there is a way to reset it. Did you find out how to reset it?

0 Same thing happened to me. Unplugged unit for 24 hours and then plugged back in and now unit is functioning properly. Thought there was damage from surge but it appears there was not. Glad!!
