Question About Sony Flat Panel Television KDP-57WS550
Timer/Standby light blinks...

The timer/standby lights blinks 10 times and after reset it blinks 5 times but it will not come on, no video just audio.

0 I also have a Sony KDP-57S550 and about 2 months ago the STANDBY LED started blinking when turning the TV on. You hear a clicking noise (tv turned on, I assume) and THERE IS SOUND but NO PICTURE. About 30 seconds TV goes off, LED light blinks continously 10 times, slight pause then 10 times, etc. etc. Sometimes it only blinks 5 times. This set says it was manufactured in 2004, we bought it NEW from store in the winter of 2005.

0 you probably need a new bulb.About $130.00 at this link.Comes with instructions how to replace.
